Given that, it’s not surprising that a recent survey found that 87% of employees now consider health and wellness packages when choosing an employer! (Forbes)

The impact of sitting at a desk
Spending long hours sitting at a desk can be a major cause of back, neck and shoulder stiffness, tension and even chronic pain.
A recent survey showed that atleast 1 in 4 working adults reported current back pain (IASP) and it's been found to be the most common cause of work-related disability in people under 45 (NIH).
According to data released by the Office for National Statistics, nearly 31 million work days were lost in the UK in 2016 as a direct result of musculoskeletal problems such as back pain.
But this doesn't have to be the case...
How Office Pilates can help...
Pilates is a low-impact, yet highly effective form of exercise that is suitable for all ages and abilities. It works wonders for improving posture and reducing or preventing back and neck pain as well as improving mental health and overall fitness.
My Posture-Fix Pilates session uses a combination of precise movements and breath work, specifically targeted at office workers, to:

Strengthen the core and glutes which are often weakened by sitting for extended periods (key contributors to back pain)

Lengthen muscles which have become tightened from prolonged sitting such as the hip flexors, hamstrings and back muscles

Improve posture including opening the shoulders up and improving 'tech-neck'!

Posture-Fix Pilates for your business
My aim is to create a welcoming and relaxing environment for all employees, no matter their age or fitness level. Absolutely no experience is required, but different levels will be offered to cater for all abilities - even the Pilates Pro's within the team!
Depending on your office space, the 'Wellbeing in the Workplace' sessions can be held either at your workplace or a space can be rented locally.
The session includes:

1 hour Posture-Fix Pilates session, led by myself, an experience and qualified Pilates Instructor

All equipment

A 'Wellbeing in the Workplace' PDF which covers a range of desk stretches and a Pilates flow for office workers
Timings can be flexible, depending on your needs - the session can be incorporated into the working day or held before/after work hours.
